Veeam in the UAE, licensed, hosted and operated by 10ⁿ Tech
One product we sell three ways: a licence, a monthly service, or a repository built into a sovereign platform
Veeam's own phrase for what it sells is data resilience: Veeam Data Platform in Foundation, Advanced and Premium editions for backup, recovery and security across virtual, physical, cloud and SaaS workloads; Veeam Data Cloud Vault for immutable cloud storage; the Veeam Software Appliance as the fastest install; Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365; Kasten for Kubernetes; Veeam Cyber Secure services; and a Leader position in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Backup and Data Protection Platforms for the tenth time in 2026, by Veeam's statement. 10ⁿ Tech is a Veeam Cloud & Service Provider based in Dubai: we resell licences and renewals, run backup as a service billed per protected VM per month, build hardened repositories and tape tiers, and back up Microsoft 365 tenants.
A word on scale. Veeam's largest customers run thousands of workloads under enterprise agreements handled by Veeam directly. What we sell is Veeam for estates of twenty to five hundred VMs: the licence a company wants to own, the monthly service a company wants run for it, or the immutable repository designed into a platform that cannot leave the country. Backup is where the difference between an integrator and a reseller shows. Anyone can sell a licence; the questions that matter are whether the repository is immutable, whether there is an offline copy, whether the restore has ever been tested, and who is watching the job that failed on Saturday. Our Veeam practice is built around those four questions.

What we deliver with Veeam
| Product line | Typical use | How we deliver it |
|---|---|---|
| Veeam Data Platform licences (VUL), Foundation, Advanced and Premium | Customers who own and run their own backup | Universal licences sized per workload, edition chosen by whether the customer needs recovery orchestration and threat analytics; renewals quoted 90 days ahead through Veeam's UAE distribution |
| Backup as a service (VCSP) | Customers who want backup run for them | Billed monthly per protected VM on a points model with a minimum commitment; usage report with every invoice; we operate the jobs |
| Veeam Software Appliance | Fast, hardened install without a Windows server | Deployed as the backup server on the customer's hardware or ours; patched by us under the service |
| Hardened Linux repository | Ransomware-resistant primary backup target | Immutable repository on Linux, sized to retention, with a restore test at handover; the pattern we designed into a 16-GPU sovereign AI platform as its disaster-recovery layer |
| Veeam Data Cloud Vault and object storage with object lock | Immutable off-site copy | Vault where cloud residency rules allow; a UAE object store with object lock where they do not |
| Tape tier (HPE MSL, LTO-9) | Offline copy, long-term retention | Veeam writes to tape natively; the library and media come from us or from the customer's existing HPE estate |
| Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 | Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams | Tenant backup to a repository in the UAE, retention beyond Microsoft's own, run by us or by the customer |
| Kasten for Kubernetes | Containerised applications, GPU platforms | Application-consistent backup of namespaces and persistent volumes; part of our Kubernetes designs for AI platforms |
| Azure and cloud backup | Azure VMs backed up to an on-premises or UAE-hosted repository | For customers who want a copy of their cloud estate outside the cloud provider's own tooling |
How we work with Veeam in Dubai
Our first VCSP customer is a Dubai group of companies whose sixty-odd virtual machines we back up under a monthly per-VM agreement, with the usage report attached to each invoice. The arrangement replaced a licence they owned but nobody was maintaining. That is the usual story behind backup as a service: the licence was fine, the attention was missing.
When we designed a sovereign AI platform for a federal entity, the disaster-recovery answer was not a second GPU site but a Veeam hardened repository of roughly 480 TB raw with a restore-time objective the customer could sign. It is the cheapest credible DR for a single-site GPU estate and it is a Veeam design, not a hardware one.
For a company relocating its server room in Dubai with a data-centre migration that doubles its VM count for three months, the licence question was sized to the peak, not the steady state, because Veeam licensing follows what is protected in the month. Veeam's aggregator approves our VCSP usage report each month and Veeam's renewals desk works our renewals with us directly; that is the working shape of the partnership.
Where it has gone
- Backup as a service for a Dubai group of companies, sixty-plus protected virtual machines, monthly usage reporting
- A hardened repository designed as the disaster-recovery layer for a sixteen-GPU sovereign AI platform
- Licence renewals and repository builds for trading, fund and industrial customers in Dubai colocation facilities
- Annual Veeam licence renewals for a DIFC-regulated financial firm alongside its Microsoft estate

How to buy Veeam through 10ⁿ Tech
Licences are quoted through Veeam's UAE distribution within two working days. Backup as a service is priced per protected VM per month against a minimum commitment, with a twelve-month term, monthly invoicing and a usage report; onboarding takes a week for a typical estate. Repository hardware follows the project model: 50% on order, 50% on delivery.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Veeam Cloud & Service Provider?
A Veeam partner licensed to deliver Veeam as a service, billing customers monthly for protected workloads under Veeam's rental programme rather than selling perpetual or subscription licences. 10ⁿ Tech is a VCSP based in Dubai; the service is operated by us and billed per protected VM per month.
Which Veeam Data Platform edition do we need?
Foundation covers backup and recovery. Advanced adds monitoring, analytics and threat detection. Premium adds recovery orchestration and the tested disaster-recovery plan. Most mid-size estates land on Advanced; regulated ones with a stated recovery-time objective need Premium. We quote two editions side by side.
Where does our backup data sit?
In the UAE. Repositories are built in Dubai colocation facilities or on the customer's premises; Microsoft 365 backups land in a UAE-hosted repository. For customers under a residency rule we put the location in the contract and use a UAE object store with object lock rather than Veeam Data Cloud Vault.
Can you make our existing Veeam setup ransomware-resistant?
Usually in a day or two: a hardened Linux repository with immutability, a second copy to tape or to an object store with object lock, and a scheduled restore test. We start with a review of the current jobs and the last successful restore.
