Summary: In mid-October 2026 a 128 GB DGX Spark lists at USD 6,950 and sells in the UAE for about AED 27,000 to 36,000, with few units on any shelf. GB300 desktop stations cost USD 93,000 to 159,000, with lead times of 4 to 16 weeks. Since 10 July 2026, UAE government agencies can receive this hardware licence-free; other buyers still need a US export licence.

Two years ago, running a serious language model meant a rack in a data centre. Today it fits on a desk. This month we priced desk-side AI in the UAE, from single DGX Spark units and small Spark clusters up to GB300 workstations. What we found about price, stock and export rules changes how anyone in the region should plan a purchase.

All prices and stock levels below were checked on 16 October 2026. They move weekly.

What a DGX Spark is

The DGX Spark is NVIDIA’s smallest AI computer. It is built on the GB10 chip, with 128 GB of memory shared by the CPU and GPU, a ConnectX-7 network port for linking units at 200 Gb/s, and NVIDIA’s DGX OS with the usual AI software stack.

NVIDIA states that one unit runs models of up to about 200 billion parameters, and two linked units up to about 405 billion. Both figures are at 4-bit precision; at higher precision the limit is lower. In practice that covers the open-weight models most enterprise pilots use, with room for retrieval and agent workloads beside them.

Dell, HP, ASUS, Lenovo, MSI, Gigabyte and Acer sell their own GB10 systems. They carry the same chip, the same 128 GB and the same network port.

DGX Spark price: up 74% since launch

The 128 GB DGX Spark launched at USD 3,999. It rose to USD 4,699 in February and to USD 6,950 on 2 October, in the middle of a memory shortage. On 2 October NVIDIA added a 64 GB version at USD 4,999, sold from 23 October only through OEM partners. Half the memory is a real limit: check which one a quote is for.

Clustering four Sparks: the switch is the hard part

Four Sparks linked together make a small cluster for larger models or parallel jobs. The units are the easy part. The 200 Gb/s switch and cables are harder: the compact MikroTik switch commonly used for Spark clusters was out of stock in the UAE, and the NVIDIA switches listed locally were the 100 Gb/s variant, not the 200 Gb/s one. Breakout cables and genuine NVIDIA optics had no UAE source at all. Budget time for networking, and buy all units from one brand.

GB300 desktop stations: prices and lead times

One step up is the GB300 desktop, sold as DGX Station and under OEM names. Every model has the same NVIDIA reference memory: 748 GB in total, 496 GB of LPDDR5X plus 252 GB of HBM3e, with a 72-core Grace CPU and an 800 Gb/s ConnectX-8 port. That is enough memory to run very large models on one machine, or several medium ones side by side.

Reseller lead times come from a European reseller’s table dated 13 October. In the UAE we found one retail listing, an ASUS unit at AED 525,000, on a page that also said “no longer available”, and no distributor announcement for any GB300 desktop. Add one to two weeks to any stated lead time for export paperwork, freight and customs.

Export rules: what changed in July

On 10 July 2026 the US moved the UAE into a more favourable export group (A:5). The rule says that UAE government agencies are eligible to receive advanced computing items licence-free. Other buyers still need a US export licence for this class of hardware, unless they are on the approved list in Supplement No. 8 to Part 740, and end-use rules still apply to everyone.

In practice the OEM’s trade-compliance team makes the call, not the reseller. If you are a private company, ask for the licence position in writing before you sign.

What to check before you buy desk-side AI

  1. Memory: 128 GB, not 64 GB, for the Spark.
  2. A written allocation and delivery date from a distributor, not a web page date.
  3. A manufacturer authorisation letter if your procurement needs one, and where the warranty is served in the UAE.
  4. The export-licence position for your organisation, in writing.
  5. The network parts for a cluster, sourced at the same time as the units.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a DGX Spark cost in the UAE?

On 16 October 2026 the 128 GB Founders Edition was listed at about AED 27,000 to 29,000 including VAT, and OEM GB10 systems at AED 29,000 to 36,000. NVIDIA’s list price is USD 6,950.

What size of model can a DGX Spark run?

NVIDIA states up to about 200 billion parameters on one unit and about 405 billion on two linked units, both at 4-bit precision.

Does a UAE company need an export licence for a DGX Spark or GB300 station?

Since 10 July 2026, UAE government agencies can receive these items licence-free. Other buyers need a US export licence unless they are on the approved list; the OEM’s compliance team confirms.

How long does a GB300 desktop take to arrive in the UAE?

Stated lead times run from 4 to 16 weeks depending on the vendor, plus one to two weeks for export paperwork and freight. Only a written distributor allocation makes a shorter date safe.
