VR training in the UAE: custom simulators your instructors can check

VR training company, Dubai

VR training your instructors can check: the scenario, the score and the debrief, built on your own site.

10ⁿ Tech is a Dubai company that builds custom VR training in the UAE: operator simulators on a replica of your plant, HSE scenarios built around the IOGP Life-Saving Rules, and procedure training scored against your instructors’ own criteria, with an instructor station and a debrief. We built Dubai Municipality’s treatment-plant training system, used by more than 150 staff.

What makes it training, not a 3D tour

A trainee in a good-looking scene learns little unless something checks what they did. So the scenarios we build now have three parts beside the 3D: a score that follows your written criteria, an instructor station, and a debrief that shows the trainee what they missed.

The score lives in the scenario file as data, so your instructors can read the weights and the fail gates without reading code. A reference scorer re-reads each session log and must agree with the headset: on our FOD demo the two agree on 17 test cases picked for the awkward edges, such as a run a hundredth of a point under the pass mark. After a class, the instructor’s tool re-scores every session and flags any result that differs.

How a project runs

  1. Task analysis with your instructors: the procedure, the mistakes that matter, the pass criteria.
  2. The rubric as data: weights, gates and the pass mark, in a file your instructors sign off.
  3. The scene, built from your drawings, photos or a laser scan of the site.
  4. Scorer tests: the headset against a reference scorer on edge cases.
  5. A pilot with one crew, with frame times measured on the headset, then the rollout.

We build for standalone headsets such as Meta Quest 3, Pico 4 Ultra Enterprise and HTC Vive Focus 3, and for PC VR when a scene needs more graphics than a standalone chip can draw. The method matters more than the hardware; we made that case here, and here is how we measure what a course changed.

Frequently asked questions

Who builds custom VR training in the UAE?

10ⁿ Tech, based in Dubai Knowledge Park, builds custom VR training scored to the client’s own criteria, with an instructor station and a debrief. References include Dubai Municipality’s treatment-plant training system and a VR office-safety simulator for a UAE government organisation. For the wider field, see our guide to VR training companies in the UAE.

Can VR training replace part of a practical assessment?

Part of it, when the score follows your written criteria and the headset’s scorer is tested against a reference. Keep the practical sign-off for the steps a headset cannot check, such as torque or physical effort.

Which headsets does it run on?

Standalone headsets such as Meta Quest 3, Pico 4 Ultra Enterprise and HTC Vive Focus 3 for most scenarios, and PC VR for heavy scenes. Ask for frame times measured on the device before you accept a build.

Does the training need an internet connection?

No. Our FOD walkdown demo needs only the training room’s local network: the voice clips are generated in advance and shipped in the app, and the instructor station talks to the headset over the local network.

Do you build VR HSE training for oil and gas?

Yes. Our HSE scenarios follow the IOGP Life-Saving Rules, from permits and energy isolation to confined space and lifting. See VR HSE training.
